Versatile and experienced Carnatic and light music vocalist with over ten years’ professional performance experience.
Originally from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, I am now based in the UK having completed my Master's Degree (MSc) in Developmental and Child Psychology from Sheffield Hallam University (2022–2023) . My foundation was established early under my father, Kavalam Sajeev, and I have since had the privilege of formal training under revered maestros like Prof. K. Omanakutty and B. Sasikumar. I also expanded my repertoire to include Hindustani and Ghazal traditions under Abhraditha Banerjee.
As a dedicated performer and educator, I integrate my passion for music with my background in psychology to explore the specialized niche I call "Mind, Music & Wellbeing". I view music not merely as technical mastery but as surrender, emotion, and the invisible thread connecting the artist to the listener. My goal is to build cultural connections, letting the timeless sound of Kerala’s music echo on international stages, while recognizing that understanding the human mind through psychology beautifully complements music, as both are languages of the soul. I bring this holistic understanding to my current role working with the Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in England (as of June 2025), and through my mentorship at Deekshaa CIC, (Worcestershire, UK) and Kavalam School of Music and Research Centre (Kerala, India). My work emphasizes mental health, psychosocial support, and the therapeutic power of music. I believe art truly grows when it is shared.

My upbringing continues to inspire my mission to bridge Indian classical music with global audiences.
